The Contributors’ Charter
A simple statement of how the Human-Centred Quality Initiative intends to welcome, use and steward contributions.
Human-Centred Quality is founded upon the belief that enduring professional disciplines are not created through individual authorship alone.
They mature through thoughtful challenge, diverse experience, careful observation and a shared commitment to improving understanding.
For this reason, the Initiative is not presented as a platform built around one voice. It is an invitation for practitioners, researchers, educators and curious thinkers to help shape an evolving body of knowledge.
What we ask
Clarity, generosity, honesty about uncertainty, respect for confidentiality and a willingness to distinguish observation from assertion.
What we do not require
Academic writing, specialist language, formal research credentials, agreement with current thinking or a fully formed article.
How contributions may be used
They may influence questions, definitions, publications, insights, patterns, practices or capability guidance. Influence will be attributed wherever practicable.
What we promise
Thoughtful consideration, respectful treatment, no presumption that contribution transfers authorship, and transparency about how an idea has influenced the work.
How disagreement helps
Contributors are not expected to agree. They are expected to care deeply about improving understanding and to challenge with evidence, context and intellectual humility.
The discipline will mature not because disagreement is avoided, but because disagreement is conducted with generosity, evidence and intellectual humility.
